Designed by Mustang Survival, Membrane Inflatable Technology (M.I.T.) is the next generation of inflatable technology. Made from stretch-fabrics, M.I.T. PFDs use less fabric so they weigh less and offer a far more flexible fit.
The MD2051 M.I.T. 35 Inflatable PFD is manually activated, meaning you control when it inflates. When inflated the M.I.T. 35 boasts 35LB buoyancy - more than twice the flotation of a traditional PFD. It also features an inflator inspection window and access flap to make inspecting and maintaining your PFD breeze, a hidden pocket for convenient storage of boating essentials, a reflective badge for enhanced visbility and a flexible fit that moves with you all day long.
Using Membrane Inflatable Technology(TM) - or M.I.T. - this inflatable PFD is 20% lighter than competitors' products. Utilizing an innovative membrane, the inflation cell takes up very little space when uninflated, but quickly stretches to fit the CO2 when activated to provide more flotation than most foam vests.
